OUR ANNUAL STUDENT PERFORMANCE RECITAL

Here at Playtime Music Academy, our free, fun & festive annual spring student performance recitals have been a long-standing tradition.

While our recitals are not mandatory, our students of all ages and levels are strongly encouraged to participate as we believe that gaining public performance experience should be an integral part of the music education experience.

Our recitals give students the opportunity to share and celebrate their growing musicianship in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere - with an audience comprised of family and friends.

We provide options to participate in either a remote Zoom recital or on location at our beautiful in-person venue. Multiple dates are scheduled for these eagerly anticipated events which allows us to keep each of our programs to a reasonable length.

Programs listing each student and their pieces in order of performance are distributed at our in-person recitals - and e-mailed in advance for all our remote Zoom recitals.

With a permanent Room ID that is used for our Zoom recitals - sharing this information allows for up to 100 unique connections which permits our participating students to easily invite their friends and extended family to attend virtually as well…

Regardless of which type of recital a student participates in - each performer is given a personal introduction and receives a certificate for their participation.

No memorization is required and in our in-person venue, each student will have their instructor right there with them - in case they get nervous or confused.

We understand - and only ask that students do their very best - especially if it is their first time playing for an audience!

The recital hall for our in-person programs features a grand piano, and plenty of seating in a beautiful sanctuary that features long windows in a wooded setting, vaulted ceilings, a sound system, and a spacious lobby where refreshments are served afterwards.

If it is their first year in lessons, students and families are welcome to watch a recital just to see what they are like - even if they are going to wait until the next year to play...
